A Celebration of Track and Field

Friday, May 2 2025 - Hunt Invitational

The Stephen P Hunt Invitational is a meet unlike any other on the schedule. All four high school from Plainfield, both boys and girls team, all at the same meet. The competition level is off the charts for an in-district quad meet.

The Wildcats had a strong night with some very good performances. Torrance Freeman led the way for the team, he ran 4 races, and each one, with very good execution. Torrance finished 3rd in the 100 meter dash, running a PR in the process. He also led the 4x1, and 4x2. Torrance finished his night with a strong run in the 200.

Cobey McGregory played a big role for the team, finishing 2nd in the high jump with a great series, including a jump that tied his PR of 1.75. Cobey is on the verge of a big breakthrough in the next few weeks.

Tyler Weir was a flash on the track. Finishing 3rd in the 400, just off his PR. Tyler came back as the anchor in the 4x400 with an epic final leg, bringing the Wildcats from 5th place to 3rd place with a 50.6 final carry of the baton.

Curtery Clark had a nice night in the horizontal jumps, finishing in a scoring position of 4th in the triple jump with a PR.

Christian Ndegoe took a big chunk off time off his PR in the 300H with a 5th place finish, he also ran a PR in the 110 hurdles.

Ubaldo Rodriguez secured a point for the team in the 800, and then ended his night with a PR split in the 4x400.

Jake Michel and Scott Freischlag also ran great legs on the 4x400 to help the team with a 3rd place finish.

The Wildcats are back in action next week on Monday and Friday.
