Lewis Fast Times Recap

Saturday, March 23 2019 - Lewis Fast Times

The name of this meet is Fast Times, and our performance produced plenty of them. The major highlightes were two new school records. Jonathan Gotesch broke a 15 year old mark in the 1600, running 4:29.91 to now hold both the indoor 3200 and 1600 records. The other record of the night was set in the frosh/soph 400, Richard Todd came back about 45 minutes after running a PR in the 800 to blaze a 54.81 to break Justin Lentz's previous record. Richard wasn't done after the 800/400 double, he came back and ran a huge 3rd leg of the 4x400 to take our team from 4th to 1st on his leg. The more races Richard gets under his belt the more records are going to be in jeopardy. Setting school records is cool, but so is winning events. Dustyn Perona came away with the pole vault victory after jumping a new lifetime PR of 11'6.

Richard, Dustyn and Jonathan were joined by 7 other teammates who also PRd.

Hunter Fuss ran PRs in both the 4x200 and the open 200. Patrick Todd ran a PR leg in the 4x800. Jordan Facio ran a great anchor leg to hold on for the 4x400 heat win, and he did it in PR fashion. Aaron Larkins Jr set a PR in the 55 dash. Tommy Adelmann ran a 4.5 second PR in the 800. Joe Edozie ran a PR in the 200. Austin Emrath, ran an incredible tough race despite being under the weather to PR by about half a second.

Now on to outdoors!
