Relays Win the Day

Sunday, February 27 2022 - Bolingbrook Raider Invitational

Competing for your teammates wins the day. On a day when the main goal was to be as competitive as possible, the team stepped up in a big way. Relays were the story of the day. The Wildcats were victorious in both levels of the 4x800, the varsity 4x160 and the JV 4x400, with a 3rd in the JV 4x160 and a 2nd in the varsity 4x400.

Jumpers had a day. Chris Frazier won the long jump and ran a solid leg on the victorious 4x160, as well as a great PR to lead off the 4x400. Joey Mikolajczyk mated his teammate with a victory in the JV long jump, ran a solid leg on the 3rd place JV 4x160 and then had a great PR leg in the JV 4x400 to put the race out of reach and secure the victory for the Wildcats.

Ben Ebersole took the victory in the rarely run varsity low hurdles, coming out of the 2nd section.

Jesse Perez took the victory in the JV shot put.

Kyle Schick outkicked Henry Matson for the victory in the JV 3200.

A 2nd place team finish for both the varsity level and the JV level is a great place to start the invite season for the Wildcats.

The guys will have a week off and then back at it with two meets next week at WWS and York, before getting ready for the SPC Indoor Championship.
