The Hunt

Friday, April 30 2021 - The Hunt Invite

Every year The Hunt is a great opportunity to compete. This year we are still shaking off the rust of early season meets with a few football players having their first meet of the year. The team competed really well and had some great overall performances.

Relays run 4 for 4 with season bests! The two 4x8 teams ran 6 PR legs out of 8 total runners and finished 3rd overall with the A squad. The 4x100 ran a season best to finish 2nd overall. Both 4x200 relays ran great. And then the 4x400 ran a season best with 2 guys running lifetime bests on a 4x400 relay split.

Freshman Bryan Underwood continues his great early season success. Bryan went over a hurdle for the first time 3 weeks ago, his three 300H hurdle races have been 50.5, 48.1, and now 45.6. He finished 4th overall in his first competitive varsity race.

Chris Frazier had a day. In his first meet since joining us from football he went 3 for 3 on PRs and also ran a steller leg on the 4x200. He jumped over 6 meters for the first time in long jump and then ran our fastest 100 (winning the 1st heat) and then our fastest 200.

Aiden Haughian brought a great race in very windy conditions (there were only about 5 minutes of terrible win, thanks micro storm) and they were during the 800. Aiden won the race for 2nd as all-stater Niko Shultz ran away from the field. Aiden came back to run a PR leg to lead off the 4x400.

Richard and Patrick Todd contributed a ton of points for the team. They both ran PRs in the 400, Patrick was a leg on the 2nd place 4x100 and also they went 3rd and 4th in the high jump, with Patrick clearing 1.70 in only his second high jump competition.

The team had a boat load of PRs.
